He will share his story of how he went through the journey of conquering Stage 3 colon cancer and five years later came out stronger, healthier, and living a fulfilling life.

Today, Phil DeGruy is on a mission to serve his life’s greater purpose- to help kids who have lost a parent to cancer through his newly launched foundation.

2x cancer survivor-
⁃Stage IV metastatic colon cancer diagnosed in February 2017 I had surgery to remove half my left lung and refused treatment deciding to battle it with a healthy lifestyle. 
⁃Completed 4 sprint triathlons, 2 half marathons, a marathon and 2 ultra marathons on my Stage IV to 140.6 journey since my diagnosis. 
⁃Started Running For Dreams Foundation to help kids who have lost a parent to cancer.
⁃Launching the Make It Count podcast helping people triumph through the hard seasons of life and make it count.
 
Married to Christina for 26 years, father of 4 boys and PaPere to the 3 cutest grandchildren ever. 
 
Sales Manager for New Orleans Fish House servicing the finest restaurants, hotels and casinos from Houston, Texas to Destin, FL and from the Bayou to Jackson, MS.
