One Leadership Tip: Day 7: Headed Home

Day 7: Headed Home

Want to test your leadership skills and patience?

Chaperon for 200 6th graders on a 3-day overnight class trip and see how you come out the other side.

I just survived day one and we are just getting started.

One of the parents left mid day and left a written note on one of the teacher’s doors, and all it said was “headin home”.

I don’t know whether to laugh or tip my cap and give him a high five.

I’ll let you know in a few days if I survive.

Which brings me to ONE LEADERSHIP TIP for today:

You want to lead? You want to grow as a leader. Chaperon for your kid’s 6th-grade school trip.

Coach your kids youth sports teams.

Volunteer in your community.

Think more about who you can help just to make a buck and switch your mindset to who can I help and serve today because I’m a leader.

Couple of things will happen, you’ll grow, you’ll make a difference, you’ll learn and more importantly, you’ll make a difference.

And oh by the way probably make a few bucks as well along the way.

That’s it for today Big Shoots
