Day 125: Stop Changing For The Sake of Making Changes

They say change is inevitable and regardless of reasons, change is bound to happen. With the advancement of technologies over the years that are making the lives of people somehow comfortable, a person’s thirst for change and the better condition is the backbone of all these developments.

Although change at times is necessary, we also have to consider making an effort to communicate our message behind it. Oftentimes a constant shift in any setting is met with resistance because let’s face it; it is not as easy as we think it is. Forcing a change in your environment will not create harmony but instead produce chaos and soon will be more damaging. To be effective in implementing a change, a leader must have definite reasons for why the change is needed. Effective leaders must never forget to have continuous open communication to provide the people the chance to give feedback, to cope up and eventually embrace the change.

Quotations:

“There are maybe tons of things that you are already doing correctly that will get you where you need to go, you just need to dial in and tweak them a little bit more.”

“If you make too many changes at the same time now you will have no idea what change you made is the one that could cause the shift in your results.”
