About The Guest:
Hi, I’m Matt Young
For me, participating in sport is a privilege.
Sport provided me with the competence, confidence, character & connections to become a quality servant leader.
Growing up in a dysfunctional household in a small town afforded few opportunities outside the traditional job or education paths. This is where I was introduced to the power of sport through servant leadership.
My physical education teacher installed confidence in me by believing in my abilities and shaping my character. With this support, I was able to earn my way to a dual sport scholarship at the University of Toronto and would eventually receive my Kinesiology degree from the University of British Columbia.
My journey with sport continued as I became a coach and personal trainer where I built a successful business based on placing the participant experience at the heart of the provision.
With over 25 years of business and over 25,000 hours of coaching experience combined with my education & experience, I have surrounded myself with servant leadership from other sectors with the intention of creating positive, quality sport experiences for as many as possible, as long as possible, in the best environments possible.
We help people, teams, & organizations achieve their best through a level of coaching mastery only experience can provide.
